Oh, it's Monday morning. I want to take a nap already! Steelers lost last night, so no Super Bowl for them.

the hubs is cleaning all of our carpets today...yes! I love clean carpets!!

It's 53 degrees in the sun today...amazing! All of the little bit of snow we got is melted!! A few spots a shaded snow remain but it looks like it is Spring again! This is the weirdest weather that I remember. Despite the fact that we should be in the throws of winter...it is rather beautiful out there today.

My 10 year old son stayed home from school today. He wasn't feeling himself this morning and I decided it might just be a good day for him to stay home. He's a straight A student and he hasn't missed a day yet this year...so I don't think it is such a horrible thing to give him a break today. He watched cartoons, we ate lunch together..soup, he drew some Pokemon characters, and he asked me if I would teach him to embroider a Pokemon character on some fabric so he could make a pillow. I was really surprised! I taught him and he picked up on it immediately! He was not happy with his Pokemon character he drew so he decided on a clam with eyes with a pearl in it's mouth. Ok! Well, we completed the whole thing...even sewed it into a small pillow and stuffed it. Project complete....one happy child...back to school tomorrow!

I'm so hungry today! What's up with that! I ate pancakes at 6:30 am, then half an apple with caramel dip and a cup of coffee at 10:00 am. It's 12 noon and I could go for a Subway sandwich right now!! Guess it's just one of those days!! What's for dinner tonight?? :)

snow squalls today...and I am loving it!! hope it lasts a few days!!!

The temperature has dropped significantly and I hope it stays this way. We got a dusting of snow last night. My son and I made a beautiful fire in the fireplace today...it's still blazing away as I type this. Soup is on the stove...veggies and chunks of smoked ham in a beefy, tomato-ey broth. I cannot wait to eat it!
